1984 Volkswagen Cabrio Mk1 Karmann Additional Info:
$500 Start. No Reserve. Please read!!
I have spent thousands of dollars on this UNFINISHED projrct car. Body was professionally bead blasted, painted and clear coated. Wiringconverted with working A/C. Brakes, struts, alignment and drive train serviced with replaced parts if needed... The shift unit is a custom stainless steel linked unit. I even spent $1000 on having the seats recovered with a Jetta's fabric. I have a new in box top, liner, carpet, new interior door panels, etc. The injector pump was rebuilt and vitron seals and fuel lines are in place. Gauges work with a mechanical oil pressure gauge. A custom cast aluminum valve cover has been installed. DynaMat installed on floor and hood. New or very good rubber moulding to install, The dash is as good as anything out there with a very good looking ready to install knee bar. The glove box cover is excellent. I have new tires on aftermarket rims as well as the original rims. To make this car legal to drive down the road the seats and seat beats need to be installed. Carpet and top installed along with shift boot and enclosure would be better.. Although, I have seat belts you will need to find ones in better condition. The windows are in but the mechanic reinstalled the old moulding by mistake and it needs to be replaced with the included moulding.I could add much more. For the price, it now becomes your project car.
At the listed starting price with no reserve, it is a bargain. The scrap value (think rubber moulding) exceeds the price. Yes, the car is dusty from storage and needs to be washed, hopefully I will get it done soon.
I have played with this project for over 10 years. It was designed to run on BioDiesel. I am old enough now to no longer have the ambition to finish it. I hope to find it a good home.
I have not started this car in over a year.. but I will make sure it is running if you buy it.IF YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT MK1 DIESELS DONT BUY THIS CAR!
CLEAR TITLE IN HAND.
AS SUCH CAR IS SOLD AS IS WHERE IS AND WILL NEED TO BE TRAILERED.
Thank you for your interest.

Okay, I replaced the battery and it started on the first crank. The clock appears to not be working. But I have a spare cluster. One of the new pictures shows the glow of the panel.
Thanks for looking
