1956 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Additional Info:

1956 Oval Window Beetle.
Nicely restored, driver quality car.
From what I can tell, this was not a big budget build nor a concourse restoration, but it was tastefully done with a beautiful Corral Red paint job and a well sorted out interior. The luggage rack & the Coker Classic white walls are also a nice touch. Please don't let my honest description sell this car short. It is a very nice car, that is turn key ready for cruising, but I don't want anyone to be mislead and expect a 30,000 dollar car for only 13,900. I was asking more for it, but I'm feeling more motivated to sell it this week. If you've shopped around, then you know, this is probably the best deal you'll find on a completely restored oval window bug that needs nothing and is ready to go. The car is completely rust free and I don't see any signs of sloppy patch work. The engine is not a 56 date code but it is the correct style 1200 cc with the oil filler neck as a part of the engine case. The 36 hp engine runs excellent but of course leaks a little oil as they all do.
The clutch feels good and the original crash box transmission runs through all the gears as it should, except that it, sometimes, will pop out of 3rd into neutral, but it's only when you let off the throttle to shift into fourth, so it's not too inconvenient, but was an issue I wanted to disclose.
The electrical system is still a 6 volt, but with the motor finely tuned, it always cranks up with very little effort.I've put together a photo album here https://flic.kr/s/aHsmeDHgQEThe photos should say it all as to the condition of the car, but if you have any other questions, please call me.
Also, I am a dealer. Here's my info... Best, then I have no problem providing your lender with any information they may need to help the loan process. I am also experienced with working with overseas buyers and have no problem facilitating the title & funds transfers from abroad. I know how the process works and can help you along.
My asking price has been reduced from 15,900 to only 13,900 I think it's a great deal, if you do too, then let's get it out of my show room and into your garage... gimmie a call 252-619-8067
