Beautiful early 1964 Convertible Beetle. Unmolested Original Example. Last year for the small windows. Matching Numbers Body and Pan. VIN Plate & Stamping present and match. Transition year, rare 63/64 combo panels,like the small license plate light and earlier deck lid for example.
This a great car to drive and enjoy as-is or restore to be perfect. Solid car with nice correct Poppy Red paint over a grey/white interior. The convertible top is original to the car and complete. It does show its age, but operates fine and in my opinion is not worth replacing. Protective boot cover included.
Stock 40hp (not OG to car). 6 volt system, everything functions as it should. All OG glass. Awesome chrome work.It has a very clean body for its age. Pans are patched with correct sheet-metal and solid. Worst part of the car is the support rails that are corroded and patched. If you wanted to restore the car it comes with new support rails that you can install, but it is structurally fine with good door gaps, no sagging, and I use it as is. Again not worth replacing in my opinion. (More Photos available on request)
Only driven in good weather. Accident free. Overall an honest car, and a great summer vehicle that gets lots of looks! … Only selling to fund another VW project. Florida license plate is just for show, and does not come with the vehicle. Car is located in Michigan.
