1979 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:

I used this van to run small food truck business and it was a blast! This van is going to turn heads wherever you go. People love to take pics with you and the van, so be ready for some attention! This van runs but definitely needs some routine maintenanceas most vans of this age do.
This van can easily be used as a food truck or converted into your own van life van. There is a lot of space inside this guy. I cut off the top of the roof and fastened and sealed an aluminum boat to the top for added standing and storage room. I am 5' 10" and can stand up inside without touching the roof. This allows for nice working and living space. The seal between the boat and van sturdy to say the least. I used an auto body sealant to make the seal airtight and extremely durable. Before the sealant was applied the top was fastened to the frame of the van. The build is rock solid.
Unfortunately, the speedometer is not working and reads 86,459 but the bus has been driven close to 95,000-100,000. Most of the Miles put on this bus are local trips. I never really took it to the high because I never really had a need to travel long distances with my food truck business. This bus shifts really well and is easy to drive if you are not familiar with a manual transmission. I am leaving my 4 compartment sink inside as well as my stainless steal prep-table which has seen some action and has quite a few scuff marks. If you would like I can include the 35-gallon waste water receptacle.
NOTICE!!!!!
If you are bidding on this vehicle please make arrangments or have a plan to pick-up or ship the van. I CANNOT have this van sittingaround waiting tobe picked up for an extended period of time. PLEASE be timely.
I would NOT recommenddriving thevan as a form of pickup. Spend a little money and get it shipped. The van runs great but I would not put the stress of a long-distance trip on it.
I have put a reserve price of $3,000
I am asking that the Buyer pay the price of shipping/pickup
Feel free to send any inquiries to my inbox.

I recently took the van to my mechanic and he says that the steering column needs some repairs that should be done before it starts being driven regularly.
