Thanks for stopping by. Here’s the info: 99% of the parts were sourced through Wolfsburg West. “Red” drives tiiiiiight like new and is 100% rattle free. Can’t have any of that, right? This car is built in the effort of celebrating… art, attitude, quality, elegance, and craftsmanship. Same way you probably roll.

BODY

Desert car so no rust anywhere –

Even has original pans.

All gaps are to factory spec.

Primed and blocked multiple times. No wavy gravy body work here.

PPG 2 stage base coat/clear coat – blocked color sanded and polished. After it was painted it sat at the paint shop for a year, so the painter would keep polishing it in his down time. Looks like he had quite a bit of down time.

Swan neck mirrors.

Roof rack is a Foreign concepts ($400) and worth every penny. The wood slats were custom stained to “as black as possible” but able to see the beautiful wood grain.

All window rubbers and molding great and are new from Wolfsburg West.

All glass is factory with the acception of a crystal clear windshield.

Working driving lights with chrome mounts.

BUMPERS

New Euro bumpers front and rear.

ENGINE

1641 Completely rebuilt, single port heads, Engle 100 cam, new Empi EPC 34 duel carb kit., 009 Bosch dist. w/Petronix electronic ignition. 12 Volt 55 AMP ALT., Empi breather system plumbed off the valve covers and oil filler. New factory exhaust w/new exhaust tips with accessory cheese grater. The tune is completely dialed in making it very peppy and a blast to drive. Starts right up with the slightest bump of a key even after sitting a week.

TRANS.

Rebuilt Freeway flyer.

SHIFTER.

This is a factory Bus shifter cut down by 3 inches that is covered in heat shrink to match the rubber floor mat. It has a shorter throw than a bug shifter. Very cool.

The shifter rod bushings are new with the rear coupler being polyurethane.

The shift knob is a SEA CROSS Surfboards ad.

BRAKES

Completely new through out. Front disks / Rear factory drum. They’re awesome. Anytime you want to fling bug guts off the windshield, give the brake pedal a stab. Emergency brake is in top for as well.

SUSPENSION

COMPLETELY NEW. FRONT: 2 ½ drop spindles / 2 inch narrowed I-beam with adjusters & polyurethane bushings. New KYB Shocks.

REAR: Spring plates: ¼ inch thick w/1’ inch drop. New spring plate bushings. The rear is clocked down a notch.

INTERIOR

Rattle trap sound deadener used throughout the car. TMI: Full Monty interior kit installed throughout. Plus used Wolfsburg West factor rubber floor matting with Coco mats to top it off. Original front seat frames have been sectioned and lowered by 2 inches which lowers overall seat ride height for a lower center of gravity.

Dash is detailed through out. Retro Sound radio with smart phone hook up plus with their stereo speaker that cleanly mounts into the factory location. AWESOME!!!!

Int. light works as it should as well as speedo warning lights and turn signal lights.

Door threshold plates are stainless from WW.

The door mechanisms & vent windows are completely rebuilt, works like new, and look beautifully restored. Both doors and windows are water and air tight.

RAMBUS tray is a custom piece wrapped in black cloth and some black leather. This is one of my favorite pieces with the car.

This is a new car throughout, turnkey ready to go anytime and anywhere.

If you have a feedback rating of 10 or less, please contact me first.

I have it posted locally and reserve the right to end the auction early.

IMPECCABLE DETAIL. This is a completely done car and only has 200 shake down miles. This is a sorted car. Building cars has been my hobby of 35 years with 80+ builds to my name. I enjoy doing quality builds especially when the funds are available to do it right. I'd love to keep "Red" but I already have a done '63 convertible VW. If you have any questions please ask.
