1966 VW Beetle
I’ve always wanted one and I’m guessing you have too. If you look in the photos, you’ll see the (gray) inspiration car as well as the reason for the sale. That’s right, a new baby on the way means this project has been replaced by a new one of a very different type.
My brother and I have removed the body from the frame and also sourced correct ’66 seats (see before and after removal of the original covers, in the photos). The car has many extra parts, including really solid doors (not the doors pictured on the car), some go-fast bits and pieces, and a set of newer front seats. The car comes with motor and all drivetrain. Like all VWs of this era, it’ll need some pans and a couple of fenders. In our research, we’ve learned that parts for these cars are plentiful and cheap. In fact, you can practically build an entire car from a catalog, but with this one, you won’t need to.
Check the various eras of VW Beetle and you’ll see that this car is a desirable body style. The headlights and taillights are very cool and make this the one you want and can afford (much earlier cars are very pricey by comparison). In other words, this is a very desirably-shaped VW and has the bones to be a really cool car.
We’ve done a bunch of the hard work of removing the body for you. That means you’ll of course need a trailer to get it to your shop. I have the clean title in-hand, as well as Ohio VIN inspection, ready to go.
