1993 Volkswagen EuroVan Additional Info:
For sale, my extremely well cared for Eurovan Weekender, Westfalia Edition. My Eurovan is priced well below market to sell quick. As you know, the Eurovan's are not being made anymore and are rising in price and popularity. Seats 7, Sleeps up to 5. Includes a D/C Cooler Box, Folding table, Interior Lights,Two-Window Canvas, aux battery (under drivers seat) with dc plug in, original cooler which came with van (plugs into dc adapter behind drivers seat), black bra (which is in on the vehicle, per pictures below),Eurovan car cover to protect from wind, rain, sun, etc., Pop Top Van. I am the second (2nd) owner and have meticulously cared for this van-servicing at every interval (oil changed EVERY 5k miles!) and I have replaced worn parts, as needed. I rebuilt the transmission (35k on rebuilt transmission-it seems if a 1993 Eurovan hasn't had its transmission rebuilt, it eventually will need to be done. Be cautious when shopping for Eurovan's that haven't had transmission rebuilt yet) The transmission should NEVER have be touched again. It shifts very smooth. The engine is extremely strong (comfortable at 75mph on the highway!) and has very strong compression tests in all cylinders. Although the engine has 244k miles on it, I (as well as my mechanic) believe this engine will go to 500k miles and beyond because of the strong compression rates and care that has been taken to the engine over the years. The interior is very clean (never smoked in), van has all curtains to black out interior, additional mosquito netting for rear (nice to keep back open when sleeping downstairs), good tread on tires (perhaps 10k miles on tires). I recently replaced the exhaust manifold, wire harnesses, pads on brakes, rear brake drum overhaul, wheel cylinders bleed, cleaned and lubed, replaced timing belt, idler tensioner, distributor cap, coolant pump, serpentine belt, plug wire set, temp sensor, oxygen sensor, flushed antifreeze, New Starter (Jan 2017) and changed the oil. I bought the van from a friend in 1999 (he owned for the first 6 years) and he used it only on the weekends, commuting from Seattle to the Columbia River. I've owned the van since 1999 and it has been our weekend and long haul vehicle as well. The majority of the miles are Hwy miles. It's taken our family across the US and beyond. I've had it serviced at Hans Auto in W Seattle. The van is extremely strong and is ready to take you across the country today. Cruise control, CD player, folding bed, table and seats (which are removable in back for more room). She is always parked under the carport, out of the elements. I also have a car cover which is used if it's ever on the street, which I will include with Van.
Issues to address: Canvas repair on the poptop in the rear and front (fairly minor repairs-estimate-$300.00?), new tint on windows (I've been wanting to do this but...just haven't), fuel gauge (est. 200.00).
This van has been loved and maintained throughout the years and you'll be happy with the purchase. Start her and drive across the country. Fuel tank is full and the registration tabs expire 07/17. I just had her completely detailed (carpets, seats shampooed, exterior oxidized and waxed, fiberglass roof treated and waxed). Title is clean ready for transfer. She is ready to go!!! We are located in West Seattle, Admiral District.
Thanks for the interest!
