1982 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Campmobile Van Camper 3-Door Additional Info:
Excellent condition 1982 VW Vanagon Westfalia camper. Little to no body rust, originated in Florida, and has not been driven in Ohio winter/salt.
150k miles
Has been used regularly over the past 5-10 years for camping, and maintained, kept clean and garaged at all other times.
Manual 4 speed transmission
Interior is in very good condition, with original seat fabric, original curtains etc.Floor has been replaced with nice looking wood-style vinyl flooring - much easier to clean than carpet.
Upgraded top canvas with side and front windows that was installed in the past 5 years or so.
All 4 brakes just recently serviced, new brake pads all round, and new master cylinder.New oil cooler, and new starter motor in the past couple of years. All 4 tires new in the past few years, only 4000 miles put on them.New windshield in past 2 years.
Sink/faucet, stove, fridge all working as originally intended.
Auxiliary battery to power the faucet, light etc. Also has a trickle charger permanently installed to charge the aux battery when it is plugged in to 110v.
Upgraded stereo with bluetooth, USB and aux-in ('Retrosound' head unit, so it fits with the overall design of the vehicle), and 4 new Pioneer speakers, larger than the originals.
Rear hatch and side door fly nets, and curtains for all windows.
Engine has low compression on cylinder 3, and will need a top end rebuild sometime in the near future, hence the low reserve price. Still drives well, and totally usable for camping. A top end rebuild would be approx $2000-2500 from a mechanic, $500-1000 to do it yourself, or you can get a completely rebuilt crate engine for about $1700.
