1978 VW Beetle Convertible

1978 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Additional Info:

You are bidding on an original condition 1978 VW Beetle Convertible. I'm the 2nd owner and bought it in 1984 with 28,000 miles on it. It was a daily driver up until 1998. Was garage kept most of it's life. I lived 5 miles from work so that's why it has low mileage. The car is located in Melbourne, FL 32940. Buyer pays for any shipping costs. I have a clear title for it.
I haven't started it since 2009. The electric fuel pump went bad. The engine is not seized up and you can move it using belt. It does roll. Engine is clean. I put a little Marvel Mystery Oil in each cylinder because I didn't know if I was going to restore it or sell it back in 2009.
It's never been in an accident. The passenger rear fender has been dinged. There are 2 dings on the driver door. Obviously the floor pans need to be replaced and so does the electrical. Most of interior needs to be replaced. I had the top down for a while and a rat must have gotten into the top. It damage the headliner and top so that needs to be replaced. See photos.
There was a little rust at the top of the windshield on the driver's side so I fix that and painted that portion of the car. There is a small chip in the windshield too. The driver's side rear window doesn't work. The window frame needs to be fixed. I've just left both rear windows up.
The original top color was black. The tire rims were stock silver but I painted them white to match the white replacement top I put on in 1989. Comes with the rear top boot and cover. Email me if you have any questions or want more photos.
