The paint job looks like a quality paint job, ndAll the chrome shines and looks like ne, ack to the 70, his is a good looking and solid VW bus.Interior has new upholstery. The headliner was also re done in white vinyl that looks great. The front seats & rear seats have new covers on them that look mint and match the bus in green and white. Come check this nice Volkswagen Bus out for yourself and many other great classics in our showroon, located at 1912 W. Mockingbird Ln Dallas, exas 75235 By the era of the 1969-1971 Volkswagen Bus, W's lovable, daptable rear-engine box had become an iconic on America's highways and in its driveways. The Volkswagen Bus had gained acceptance among suburban families, ar poolers, nd of course, ounterculture types. The passenger-carrying Station Wagon model of the Volkswagen Bus had long been a favorite of the young and young-at-heart, nd "hippy vans" painted up in psychedelic designs were a fixture of the 1960s.Still toda, hese VW buses are becoming more and more sought after. The Volkswagen Bus's stopping ability got a boost for 1971 with the introduction of front discs and a 20-percent increase in the lining thickness of the rear drums. VW also installed a regulator in the rear brake circuit that functioned like an early anti-lock system to help prevent premature wheel locking in hard stops. Wheel width also increased by half-an inch, o 5.5 inches. The Microbus; 9 Passenger, lso known as an "11 window bus, as essentially a Kombi with a much nicer interior (vinyl or cloth instead of the grey masonite) and 2-tone exterior paint choices. Like the Kombi, he rear seats could be removed, ut the Microbus was primarily designed to carry passengers, ot cargo. The 9-passenger Microbus has a "bulkhead" front bench seat and the middle and rear seats are also full bench seats, nabling 9 people to travel in style! We are not sure how long ago this VW was restored, ut it looks like it was not that long ago. The overall condition is very good. We would like to thank the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight for their unique location used at many of our photo shoots.Be sure to visit this historical museum if you find yourself in the Dallas, exas area. Texas Classic Cars of Dallas' showroom is located only minutes away. Unlike most VW buses we see, his undercarriage looks quite rust free. There is a small area of rust on the passenger side at the far rear corner underside. You can see this in the following photo.
