1968 Triumph GT6+ MK2 Additional Info:
1968 GT6+, Mk2, 2 door, coupe, fastback.The color is
British Racing Green with ivory white racing stripes, which match the badges color. The engine is a 2 liter, 1998 cc inline 6 cylinder push rod with twin Strombergcarburetors. The factory specs indicate it put out 104bhp @ 5,300rpm with 117.3lb ft @ 3,000rpm. It has a gear reduction starter, an alternator andcustom larger diameter exhaust. The transmission is a 4 speed with overdrive, but a Factory GT6, 4 speed transmission has been installed in the car for now.The overdrive transmission is out of the car. It needs some work and is included in the sale of the car.The interior has been modified with a one piece burl walnut dash, AMCO shift knob, a very nice TR4/TR4A "banjo" style steering wheel andtan vinyl/cloth seats, panels and carpet. The horn button is non-functional as is the emergency flasher switch. The heater has been drained and bypassed to keep down cabin temperatures, but the heater core appears good and the switches and fan are functional. The body and paint are in good shape, not perfect, but very good. It was last painted about 10 years ago when restored. The side marker lights and some rear lights have been deleted for a smoother appearance. There is a scratch repair on the passenger front fender, near the side louvers and paint chips on the inside of the drivers door. (see photos). The car was originally Valencia Blue (code 66) with Black interior (code 11).The brakes are the stock dual brake line system with tandem brake master cylinder and largerreservoirfor the 9.7" disc in the front and 8" drum in the rear. The suspension is stock 4 wheelindependent, coil springs in the front and leaf spring in the rear. The steering is stock manual rack and pinion. The wheels are silver painted 13"x 4.5" ventilated wheels from the later GT6 Mk3/Spitfire Mk4.The tires are radialstires 155 80R-13 with at least 50% tread. The history of the car is incomplete. It was originally a California car. It was moved to Washington State and rebuilt about 10 years ago. The owner drove this car for years as a daily driver. And it is very reliable. It starts easily, even after sitting for a while. The owner had five of these cars, taking parts from each to make this one.Overall this is a very presentable car, looking for a new home. The car has been parked inside a nice dry garage. The speedometer reads 21,851, but the exactmileage is unknown. The location of the car is Edmonds, Washington, just north of Seattle. The shipping of the car is the responsibility of the buyer from it current location.Payment is $500 deposit within 48 hours and the remaining balance due within 7 days of the sale.On Aug-24-16 at 05:10:23 PDT, seller added the following information:
The engine number is KD53356E, which is consistent with Triumph not matching engine# andchassis#, but getting close. The numbers are only 13 away from each other. See attached photo. The turn signals do work. They are wired into the tail/brake light assemblies.

The only significant rust on the car is the bottom of the battery box, which would need to be replaced at some point aside from that I'm not aware of any significant rust. A new battery box is about $50 from several sources.
