Up for your consideration is a 1971 Triumph TR6 As you will see in the photos, this car is extremely solid! Prior to my intercepting this car, someone had gone through and replaced the floor pans, rockers, and all four fenders. Other than a small area under the battery, this is a completely rust free body setting on a very solid frame! I found some stickers on the inside of theright front fender, and the bottom side of the floor pans that says "Heritage quality". I feel it safe to say that both fronts, the floors and rockers meet that standard. However, a look at the photo where the left rear fender meets the deck lid, the point isn't as long and sharp as it should be. The paint job on this car is rough but saveable! There are runs on most every panel, and a little thin in some areas. My intention was to give the car a good sanding,re spray the hood, touch up the other areas, buff it out and be on my way. But, with having a TR 250 come into my life, I'm thinning the herd and focusing my attention in its direction! The engine runs extremely well! Itholds good oil pressure, and hasno major leaks. The carbs have been recently rebuilt and function as they should. Though not shown, I do have the dash pot plunger for the front carb. The hydraulics are in excellent condition as well! Ithas new brake shoes and pads. The exhaust is solid front to rear and soundsthe waya TR6 should. The wood dash is in excellent condition as are the lower pads, and top pad. Though it needs a carpet, the seats, door panels and rear trimare also in excellent condition! The windshield has some light scratches, but nothing horrid. The windows roll up and down as they are supposed to. Unless you're handy with fiberglass, this car will need a transmission tunnel. The one that is in it is in very poor condition. This car is someones restoration project that as per my understanding, a divorce caused the guy to have to sell. As of my intercepting it, I've done very little to it. To put this car on the road and have it driving is relatively easy. A couple of weekends and a few hours after work doing the minor things it needs. It will need to have the fuel tank flushed, a front end alignment, and maybea set of tires (I'll let you decide). A complete once over examination to make sure it meets YOUR standards, and a top is alsoup to you. The one that's on it needs replacing but hey, it's a convertible. Please examine the photos closely, and if you have any questions, or would like additional photos, please feel free to ask. Included with this sale but not shown in the photos are the door panels and rear trim pieces. The battery, gas can and fuel pump used to make this car run are considered as part of my "tools", and areNOT included with this sale.
