Owner’s Note: “On my sixteenth birthday, my father surprised me with a 1962 Triumph TR3—on one condition: I had to get it running. It had been sitting under a pine tree, rusting and non-running after being given to him to settle a debt. With a lot of hard work and backyard ingenuity, I brought it back to life and drove it through high school and college, creating memories I’ll never forget. I eventually had to sell it to finish school.
In 1982, I spotted a TR3 with dented fenders in a yard in Little Rock. I bought it, rebuilt the engine, repaired the body, and painted it—only to discover it was the very same car I’d owned years before.
In 2000, I began a full restoration, eventually entrusting it to Ron McLeod of McLeod’s British Car Service, who completely disassembled and beautifully restored it.
The car you see today is the first car I ever owned—restored and reclaimed. I hope it brings you the same joy and memories it has given me.”
