This 1976 Triumph TR6 was purchased out of Idaho in 2021 and 2025 by us from Virginia.
It is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
Recent work includes - adding intake system with triple SU carburetors, replacing the transmission with an overdrive unit, clutch, exhaust system, radiator, heater, gauges, new convertible top.
Black-finished 15″ wheels with bright trim rings are mounted with 185-section Coker Classic red-line tires. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums.
The bucket seats were reupholstered under prior ownership using replacement foam and plaid cloth covers with black vinyl trim, and the seller notes that new foam for the driver’s seat was added during their ownership. Newer wood dashboard trim and a locking glovebox.
The three-spoke steering wheel wears a blue wrap, and replacement instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil temperature, water temperature, voltage, and fuel level. Additional instruments for air temperature, vacuum, and fuel pressure have been fitted in the center console.
The speedometer, 90 degree drive, and cable were replaced in 2024. The removed / original odometer showed 81k miles at that timeand the previous owner added approximates 5k miles, so actual miles are approximately 86K.. The replacement five-digit odometer shows 38 miles,
The 2.5-liter inline-six features an aftermarket intake setup with triple SU HS6 carburetors (these costs over ($2,400) as well as an aluminum radiator, a spin-on oil-filter kit, a high-torque starter, and a rebuilt distributor. In 2025 the rear main seal was replaced.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a rebuilt replacement four-speed manual transmission with a J-Type overdrive. The differential-cover gasket was replaced in 2021, the gearbox was installed in 2025, and a replacement clutch kit (Borg & Beck) and flywheel were fitted at that time.
