1968 Triumph TR250 Additional Info:

Beautiful Red Triumph TR250 in great condition.
Recent restoration and repaint of original color - Signal Red. As you can see from the photos, the paint has been buffed and polished and it shines like new (probably better than new). Most of the chrome was also replaced and looks fantastic. The underside looks good too - it was a west coast car (Oregon) so it's 99.5% rust free. I recently added the aluminum surrey back glass frame from Revival Motorsports in England so it comes with the convertible top frame (I used the top to make the surrey), top boot and rollbar.
The interior looks fantastic as well. The carpet is new and there are no tears in the seats or door panels. The wood dash has been refinished and looks great. I recently added a matching wood steering wheel and shift knob. All of the electronics work great: gauges, lights, heater, stereo, wipers. I changed the gauge bezels to chrome last summer and I think it gives it that extra touch of class. I also added the driving lights and they work as well.
Mechanically this car is sound. It starts right up and drives great - no grinding in any of the gears and it has plenty of power. The engine is mostly stock but the ignition was upgraded to a Pentronics electronic ignition. It still has the Stromberg dual carbs with an Ansa exhaust was added, which gives it an awesome sound. I also recently upgraded the suspension with stiffer springs and replaced alt four shocks. In the rear I added a RATCO in-coil spring shock upgrade kit for a better ride. It also has five new chrome spoke wheels and five new redline tires.
This car gets a lot of looks and is a blast to drive. Second daughter headed off to college so it's time for one of my toys to find a new home. Buy it now and be prepared for summer!
Notes: As with all 55 year old cars, an inspection is recommended. However, if you do not want to have it inspected, I'm happy to facetime you so you can see it run and drive. As with all 55 year old cars, it is not perfect: there are a couple small rock chips in the paint that been touched up (I have touch up paint to go with it) and the driver's door could use a slight adjustment upwards. Also, mileage on odometer says 8100. Unknown what actual mileage is. Overall, it is a great car and a joy to drive. I will be sad to lose it but it's for a good cause.
