Produced for 7 years (1969-1976), the Triumph TR6 saw a very lengthy model run as far as auto manufacturing goes. These beautiful cars were incredibly desirable, always fun to drive, and rather simple in design. Offering 4-wheel independent suspension, front disc brakes, inline 6-cylinder power, and manual transmissions, it certainly offered owners a true sports car feel! And they designed an interior cabin better suited for taller drivers! This 1975 Triumph TR6 roadster is finished in code-correct Maple Brown (73) with new Honey Tan vinyl interior upholstery and carpet, along with a Black folding top. Factory appointed equipment included 2.5L Straight 6-cylinder engine with dual Stromberg 175 CD-2 carburetors, fully synchromesh 4-speed manual transmission, wood Triumph shift knob, 15" wheels with 205/70R15 radial tires, wood dash with full Smiths instrumentation, heater & defrost, leather wrapped steering wheel, bucket seats, day/night mirror, passenger visor vanity mirror, dual chrome exterior mirrors, and rear luggage rack on the trunk. This cosmetically restored example comes complete with matching spare tire, full cabin tonneau cover, original beige colored boot cover & door panels, original keys with 2 extra sets, and an updated Retrosound Long Beach AM/FM radio system with SiriusXM capability. Under the hood lies the original drivetrain (Engine #CF37499UE) showing 60,138 miles the odometer. Although this car will be sold mileage exempt. Service records provided date back to 2002 and show it has been brilliantly maintained, but more importantly, the body has been preserved and remains free of any rust, rust repairs, or any accidents! The interior has been recently restored in 2017 to include new dash wood, upper dash pad, switch plinth & control knobs; new seat foams & upholstery; interior floor insulation & carpeting; Triumph protective floor mats; and modern LED lighting. All interior components were supplied through Moss Motors. Other new items on this car over the past 5 years include full stainless steel exhaust system, Pertronix electronic ignition and coil, complete new rear brake system with new shoes, cylinders, hardware, and spring kit; TRW brake master cylinder with new brake fluids throughout; new rear differential and axle seals; front outer tie rods, spin-on oil filter adapter kit with performance K&N oil filter; rebuilt carbs with new gaskets, floats, and air filters; new fuel pump & filter; and the installation of an upgraded polyurethane gearbox cover with new seals when the new carpet and insulation were installed. The car was repainted once many years ago and continues to show well for a driver enthusiast, especially considering its strong, rust-free attributes. All chassis and body tags remain and are clearly visible. It is nicely detailed throughout the engine bay and trunk compartment as well. Mechanically, this TR6 continues to be fully functional throughout! Even the windshield washer still works! It starts without any issue and runs down the road just superbly with excellent performance! The gearbox remains super tight with precise shifts, and the brakes apply confident and straight! Included in the sale will be the past service records from 2002 to present, radio instructions, and three sets of keys. These cars represent a special breed of sporty automobiles that can still be purchased below $35,000, making for a great entry-level vehicle for a British car enthusiast looking for something they can enjoy and drive regularly. Please call with questions or to arrange a chance to view in person.
