This listing is for my Beautiful 1973 Triumph Spitfire 1500 Convertible Sports Car! 1500 cc engine & 4 speed transmission with rare & working electronic overdrive. Rust free/accident-free southern car it's entire life. This Spitfire has everything going for it! Past restoration which included new paint, rebuilt engine with upgraded weber 2bbl carb & larger radiator, restored interior with new seat covers, door panels, carpet and new Retro Sound AM-FM radio. Wheels have been repainted and clear coated and are wearing all new Firestone tires (including the spare). Carpeted trunk with tire cover, new spare and jack. Black convertible top is clear and in good shape. Many of the rubber seals have also been replaced. New brake rotors, pads & cylinders.
The rebuilt 1500 cc engine with weber 2bbl carb really suits this light sports car and makes it a blast to drive plus the electronic overdrive transmission helps out on the highway keeping RPM's down. Nice sounding exhaust has good tone but not loud or overbearing.

It's hard to believe this 50-year-old British sports car can still be in this good of condition! They were very fragile even when new and did not hold up well to life in the northern states. That is why it's always best to locate one from the southern states like this one. My reserve is very fair for the condition this Spitfire is in! There will always be things to do to any vintage sports car over the life of owning it (that's the fun of it!) but all the major upgrades have already been done to this one.
In my opinion the Spitfire is one of the best looking of all the British sports cars and if you're wanting a fun head turning example to enjoy and not break the bank this is your car! This is an older restoration and has been driven so there are a few minor paint chips but nothing I would call very distracting (see pics for condition). The only dings are 2 very slight ones on the hood from being closed but are hard to see. Nothing on the sides at all. Speedo indicator sticks off and on, but odometer always rolls.
I do not know of any issues with this car but as with any old/older car this car is being sold As-Is as described to the best of my knowledge with no guarantees or warranties.
Winning bidder is required to make a $500 deposit to me in my PayPal account with full balance due within 7 days by direct deposit into my bank account, cash or by a major bank cashier's check. It is the buyer's responsibility to arrange for pick up and transportation of the car. I am flexible on timing for pickup and will work with you. It will be securely stored until it is picked up.
NOTE - The state of Alabama does not provide a title on vehicles over 35 years old and ownership is done through a bill of sale. I have a state provided document showing it is owned by me but sale to the winning bidder will be done with a bill of sale. Your state will convert it over to a title if required.
