Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this attractive early GT-6 Sports Coupe. This car was recently purchased from a British car collector in Minnesota who restored the car a few years back. It's still presenting well and drives great out on the open road.The body on this car is very good. Underneath, it shows that it received a perfect new set of factory reproduction floors, lightly undercoated, so rust is no longer an issue there. Panel fit and gapping is fairly decent for a GT-6 of this age. Paintwork is nice and glossy but is older, up close now showing some chips from normal use, some minor checking, and some light lifting around the headlamp areas. But it's generally very nice and attractive for it's age as a driver's car paintwork, and suits the car well. The windshield glass and gasket appear new. Brightwork appears very good and mostly original to the car.At the time of the restoration the interior trim was completely renewed with carpets, headliner, door seals, custom upholstered seats in attractive gray houndstooth cloth, door panels, sound deadening, red seat belts, etc. A modern but retro radio has been fitted. The period custom alloy wheel is a nice touch.Mechanically, the car is excellent. It starts easily and briskly on the key then settles into a nice idle with good oil pressure and no smoke. The clutch feels very good along with reassuring brakes and tight, but settled-in suspension. The gearbox has good syncros and the Overdrive unit operates fine. It appears that the suspension has been completely rebuild front and back. The engine bay is very clean and in good order with lots of fresh ancillary items. Going down the road the car feels very at home with good power and is easy to drive.Overall, an attractive and early GT-6 driver wearing a nice older restoration in striking color scheme. This car is factory fitted with it's desirable overdrive gearbox which is a fantastic option on these little cars. This motorcar offered for sale here is a rare combination of colors/options in this rising GT-6 market.
