Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very attractive and well-preserved Triumph GT-6 MK3 Coupe. This car was sold new here on 11/21/1972 at Larry Reed's "SportsCar Lot" in Southern California. The car left the Triumph factory in Maple brown with black trim and at some point soon after was painted it's current shade of Emerald Green. The car was last tagged for road use in 1980, and we believe the car has not been used much since then. Mileage on the speedometer shows 54,680...The bodywork on the car looks quite exceptional, straight, and 100% rustfree. There are some usual dings and a couple small dents. Panel gapping is per factory. Doors, hood, and trunk hatch all fit very well. Paintwork is an older modest respray which is still looking quite attractive from 10 feet, but upon close inspection is older showing some chips, touch-ups, light scrapes, scratches. Brightwork is original and is generally nice condition. The windshield has been replaced and looks very nice, along with all of the remaining original factory Triplex glass.The car's interior looks exceptionally good and original. We believe the seats to be the original factory material, along with the car's door panels, headliner and visors, dash top pad (a couple small cracks), and dashboard wood facia, showing it's original honey blonde veneer and satin finish. The seats feel superb and you sit down properly in them with good support. A quality, new, molded black carpet kit is provided with some of the pieces already partially installed. There is a small wear spot on the center console, a simple repair.Mechanically, plenty of work has been performed to get this car back on the road. The brake hydraulics and flexys have been renewed along with a new tire set. The engine starts easily on the key and revs well with good power. The car runs and drives fairly well down the road but we did notice a universal joint/bearing noise that needed replacement. PLEASE VIEW THE VIDEO. A new additional radiator is also provided with the car. The car include a box of spares, it's original jack, handle, tools in the factory pouch, original front license plate, spare key set.Overall, a very attractive and original GT-6 Coupe in nice colors. This car has lived it's whole life here in this gentle California climate, and has a superb body to show for it.
