1972 Triumph "Stag"Convertible selling with "No Reserve" to the highest bidder, will not close bid early, if you want it, bid on it. Thanks. Approximately only 3000 Stags were imported into the USA. making itvery rare.
Triumph built this car to compete with the Mercedes Benz SL,Theluxury loaded targa roadster with a removable hardtop came with a 110hp engine, but these engines were troublesome right from the start. This sports car has atransplanted 1977 Buick V6 with HEI ignition and a two barrel carb connected with a GM 4 speed trans making it one very spirited quick car with the 160 hp engine. Engine and transmission runs good and strong. Newer dual exhaust from front to back sounds great. Battery in picture does not go (my winch battery), All glass is very good and the body is almost rust-free, does have some scratches in the paint as seen in the pictures. Chrome and stainless are very good. Interior is in driver condition.
Car still needs some finishing touches: doors and trunk lid need final alignment, windshield gasket and trim, install passenger front side-marker(I'm still trying to locate in garage), alternator and beltinstalled, carpet and soft convertible top replaced. Almost allof the things can be done as you drive this car. I do have the other door panel, some alternator brackets, spare tire, and air cleaner too
This Stag will start, drive, and stop for loading on a trailer. Shipping can be available for $1.50 per loaded mile from zip 62443 to zip code, prepaid. Any questions okay to call or text 217- 549- 8 one one 4.
Selling to the USA only, and if less than 5 positive feedbacks youmust contact seller or bid will be removed.
