Description 1967 Triumph Herald 1200 Its sad story, poor little car.... I can remember when I found the Herald about 10 or so years ago at a wrecking yard. It was like going to the pound to rescue a dog that was on the list to be euphemized There was this little car that was in very good condition that nobody wanted and it was about to go to the Crusher! So I rescued the little red car and brought it home. Cleaned it up, did some minor mechanical's and brake work and it was good running car once again. Fun little car. Last pic is what it used to look like and could again. Drove it around for about a year and it was it such good condition and rust free I decided to take it to the next level. Replacing the all the old interior, all rubber and weather stripping even sourced out the correct white rubber bumper replacements.. Put a freshly rebuilt 1200cc motor... Its was on its way to being fully restored as new Herald! I had it at a shop doing the upholstery, Convertible top, weather stripping and all new window rubber. I was at the shop checking in as to why it was taking longer than expected to complete and tinkering on the car and its fresh motor put some Marvells Mystery oil in the spark plug hole And a few days later disaster struck!! Not known to me the shop was involved in illegal activities, Drugs and some kind of smuggling Ive been told and was taken down by the Feds. Meanwhile it took me almost 2 years of waiting and hassling till cases were settled to get the car back from lock down storage where it sat outside with no windshield, windows down exposed to the elements. Now all the work that was done had to done again....Off the Herald went to another storage facility were it sat for a couple more years. Out of sight out of mind I guess. And here it is now. The dash is gone/deteriorated. The windshield gone/broken. Good thing i put the oil in the plug holes The motor turns freely. Otherwise it pretty complete box's of parts and gauges seem all there. Title is in my name. Salvaged
