1973 Triumph Stag Additional Info:
1973 Triumph Stag all original equipment and specs. I purchased this car after it had been sitting unused for over 10 years, with the intention of doing a lite restoration and using it on weekends. My workload has gotten so busy that I wont have time to give it the attention it deserves so am moving it on. It hasnt just sat though. The car now runs and drives see short video: https://youtu.be/Q2pDFE0lrXE
I went through the carbs, performed some long needed maintenance and installed a new throttle cable, plug wires, plugs etc. It now sounds sweet. I havent driven it on the road as I havent tagged or insured it.Even though it is running now I would say it needs some proper going over before I would take it on the street. Hoses and belts and such should be gone through, trans oil change that sort of thing from sitting for many years. The brakes work great as the previous owners use silicone fluid so no leaks or moisture in the system. The electrics need some sorting ( brake lights aren't working, tach doesn't work but car has been converted to a Crane electronic ignition so probably not compatible. I dont think the temp gauge works either.) Power windows work great, same with the radio.Paint is fair to poor, I was going to repaint it but it is usable for a driver. There are some old repairs that have started failing (see pics) one particularly bad spot on the right rear quarter. Body is nice and straight and rust free.Interior is clean shows some wear seat padding is breaking down, rear seat back has suffered from the sun a bit. Carpets look good, dash is good, wood veneer in console is in poor shape.Comes with both factory hardtop and canvas soft top in fair condition
Im in Riverside CA and have a lift so if you want to inspect the car just let me know I'm almost always here.
Car is sold AS-IS with NO Warranty or Guaranty of any kind. its 45 years old and hasn't been on the road in a dozen years so no I wouldn't advise driving it home, I wouldn't on any car of its age or older that hasn't been restored.
