Triumph Spitfire - 1972

1972 Triumph Spitfire Additional Info:

Mostly restored, always garaged 1972 Triumph Spitfire. New door panels, window winders, mirrors, steering wheel, seat belts, back light lenses, glove box, dashboard top & carpets. Reupholstered seats, newer stereo & larger speakers. Swapped out the 1300cc 1972 engine for a reconditioned 1975 Spitfire 1500 engine, including new alternator & brake & clutch master cylinders. Clutch, tires & brakes are good. Smooth shifting. All the dials, lights & turns signals work. Has 73k original miles on the car & about 2k miles on the new engine. Car starts up first time even after sitting all winter. Body is very solid and straight with no dents, and paint is good for its age. There are a couple of things that may need attention. The horn is not connected, it goes off when connected, guessing a crossed wire. The soft top is in rough shape as it hasn't been put up in 20 years, still usable but would need to get a new one if planning on driving w/the top up. There's a tiny bit of surface rust on the driver's side, (clutch fluid spilled on it) & couple scratches on passenger side - see pix.
