1979 Triumph Spitfire 1500 convertible Additional Info:

It's garage kept in Tennessee since I bought it on EBay in 2006. Getting married and the new wife is 6’ tall. Not a good fit for her so it has to go. It’s a beautifully restored 1979 1/2 California Triumph Spitfire. Repainted close to original russet brown color. Factory correct interior kit from Victoria British consists of seat skins, foam, carpet, door panels, door caps andall rear cockpit panels. Dashand ashtray for detail installed in May 2006. Sound system consists of cd/mp3/usb player w/remote control and Dual custom lighted 6x9's which sound great and glow white at night. Custom carpeted trunk w/factory spare/jack/jack bag & spare cover. Both hard and soft tops will be included as well as tonneau and 2 boot covers. It comes with the factory steel hardtop which does have a few rips in the headliner, but the windows are not cracked and the paint is good with a few minor scratches and chips around the edges. Rear glass in good condition. No cracks or dings. Needs a new rear glass seal. Soft top is also in good condition, but has a little weathering as shown. I’ve never used it. Rebuilt engine/transmission/clutch/rear end in or around year 2000. I have receipts for all of this which will be provided. Engine compartment is nicely detailed. Vehicle runs good and shifts through the gears. Had a slight grind going into second November 2017. New master cylinder fixed that issue. Rear U Joint replaced ~ 3years ago. They all leak oil! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. That's the nature of the beast. I’m proud to say this car leaks very little. These cars don’t like cold weather starts so it can take a few times on a cold day but on a warm day it starts on the 2nd or 3rd crank if driven regularly. I replaced the Speedo a few years ago with NOS original. The old Speedo and lots of spare parts are included. Paint is good with a few minor scratches. One chip about the side of a dime on the front driver side as shown. Only other flaws I can think of would be a small star chip on the windshield and a few minor parking lot type door dings on the doors only. I had a “bright idea” a few years ago to go LED with this car. I will include the original bulbs, LEDs and LED turn signal controller. Reverse light needs troubleshooting. It might be due to the LED project. This car needs a new turn signal switch. It has worked for me, but it’s loose. I’ve kept it in place with a paper towel. This is my2nd Spit and is the most complete as far as having everything it came with back in 1979.

I DO NOT KNOW ACTUAL MILEAGE.
