1962 Triumph Other conv. Additional Info:
Excellent running and driving solid axle, completely rust free TR4.The mechanicals are in excellent cond, I have run only non ethenol gas and 20/50 Lucas Classic Car oil with zddp.It shifts thru all gears as it should (with a nice click).Wiring is in perfect cond. and unmolested in any way.all gauges and controls work as new and look great. The radio is not wired in and there are no holes cut anyplace for speakers. The top is a hinged attached Tr6 top with Tr6 windshield and tr6 camlock hold downs. The top is fairly new but the PO put the top down without folding it properly and broke the plastic corner light on the drivers side.He also left the top down while in storage and a mouse chewed a hole in the area above the passenger. I glued and stitched a patch in but for me it is a top down only car.I put the top up for winter storage I've never drivin it in the rain, but the top does go up and down easily and is very serviceable with a zip out rear window.Doors open and close with a nice solid click, windows are easy and smooth to operate. All window, windshield and door seals are excellent. The chrome has light pitting.
The engine is fitted with electronic ignition, spin on oil filter and new high torque starter. Tires are Dunlop in very good cond and new matching spare. The paint shows it's age a bit with several minor scratches and scuffs. It shows very well from a short distance away I guess I would call it a 7 or 8 in driver quality not show quality.Interior is near perfect I'm sure anyone could find some minor things if they looked hard enough.I hope the pictures will tell the story. If you want to see something specific let me know. The car is sold with a noterized bill of sale and registration transfer plus a State of Maine change of ownership form, legal in all states.Maine will not write a title for cars over 25. The starting price will buy the car so please do not bid if your not serious about owning it. I am only selling because I would like to build a hot rod and I need the space, maybe I'll regret this when it's gone it's been alot of fun.If this is what your looking for you won't find one any better for the price, you'll have no regrets Please ask questions but I'm afraid that I have very little history of the car. I can tell you anything about it currently tho.I believe that anyone would be pleasantly surprised with the condition of this car and be proud to show it off. Needs nothing!
$250 due at the end of the auction balance to be paid within 7 days by cashiers check. Thank you for looking.
