1963 Triumph Other Additional Info:
Nice driver quality 1963 Triumph TR4. 4 speed (no overdrive). New exterior paint; rebuilt SU carbs; new clutch, tires in very good condition, wire wheels including spare; both seat bottoms recovered; am-fm radio. The odometer reads 57,212 miles. I believe that to me the total miles on the car. I bought it 5 years ago and have restored it to driver quality. When I bought it it had sat in a garage for 10 years without moving, and it was not in running condition. The carb rebuild by Island Automotive on Vancouvar Island, BC, by Rhys, who is considered the best SU carb rebuilder anywhere, cost $700. And when I got the carbs back I put them back on the car and it fired right up. The seller told me the engine had been rebuilt, and the way it runs, now, with the rebuilt carbs I believe that is probably true but have no paperwork to verify the engine rebuild. It has had no mechanical issues since I got the car back on the road. This is not a trailer queen 100 point car. It runs excellent, shifts excellent, stops excellent. There is no rust on the car other than typical surface rust on the frame. All electrical works including all lights, horn, heater fan, windshield wipers. You can climb into this car, fire it right up, and drive it anywhere. I drive it on the freeway at 60 mph and it does great. It does not have a rag top as I have never driven it in the rain, but it does have the frame for the rag top. The windshield has a crack in it. Both side windows roll up and down easily. If you are looking for a TR4 to have fun in and drive, this is your car. If you are looking for a show car, this is not your car. It is well above average as a driver. I have also replaced the canister oil filter with a spin-on filter adapter. Very easy to change the oil. Buyer will be responsible for setting up and paying for shipping. And I will not release the title or car until I have cash in hand. Thanks
