1971 Triumph GT6 Stck Additional Info:
This is a 1971 Triumph GT6 Mk3. The seller told me this has been off the road in storage since the early 1990s.I got in a package deal with other long time sitters...Engine number is KF1227HE. Which should be the original engine. Paint code 66 -Valencia Blue, Trim Code 11- Black. Body Number 1232KF.The odometer shows like 12,750 miles. I kind of think that might be original, but I have no way to prove that. The brake and clutch rubber pedal pads look like they back up the low miles as they are in very nice clean shape. We checked the fluids and they look clean .Put some Mystery Oil downeach hole and let sit for a few weeks. Just tried turning it over and it turned nicely. .Put a jug of gas to the fuel line, put a hot battery in there and it fired up with a little work. Engine sounds nice. Compression was 120,120,120, 120,130 and 130 front to back. And should even out and improve with more run time. The engine looks clean and sanitary. I would bet it is the low miles the odometer shows. But I have been wrong before. This is a Southern California High Desert car. And rustfree and original as can be. When I picked it up, I thought it had no rust anywhere. But after mucking it out here, I took a pile of crap off the passenger floor and found rust on that floor because of the trapped moisture under the crap there. I tried to show picture from the bottom to show it. But that area, and part of the bottom of the battery box are pretty much it in the rust department,. The rest of the car is knockout. Doubt there are as many GT6 bodies out there as clean as this. Especially one with original, never been repainted, never been worked anywhere Valencia Blue factory paint. Or what is left of it. I power washed it top and bottom and was amazed how clean and nice this body is. There are small dents here and there, both on the body and on the bumpers, but this body is beautiful. if you are looking for a GT6project I doubt you will find one as nice as this anywhere. This needs total restoration, in, out,top and bottom. But how many can you find out there this nic, origina, rustfree and most of all, unplayed with over the years. What you see here is what you get. The drivers window glass is missing, though the door panel, vent window with glass, door hardware are included. Along with the factory air cleaner box. And at least 2 GT6 centercaps. The previous owner had visions of restoring this, but only got as far as redoing the factory steel rims and putting new tires on them. Take it from there and have one neat ride when you are done. Personal inspection at my shop in Prescott Valley are more than welcome. Or have someone else look at it for you. The previous buyer of this car wanted me to deliver it to him 750 miles away, for free, no charge. Then he wanted to look it over in person there and then. Then decide if it checked out or not and then would pay for it. Or not. As you see here, I chose not to go down that route. I travel around the West Coast with my truck and trailer and might be able to get it to you or close for reasonable money. . And can arrange trucking to Long Beach California shippers for overseas buyers for $300. Clean straight title.$1000 deposit required within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment due with 7 days
