1969 Triumph Spitfire Additional Info:
NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE, NO RESERVE!! This could be your Winter Project! I got this car in exchange for helping a friend and fellow Car Guy market some of his Car Collection. This 1969 Spitfire has not run in many years and NJ Inspection Sticker from 1983 indicates how long it has been sitting. Odometer shows under 71,000 miles and NJ Title from 1994 supports that. Mostly complete and fairly solid for having been stored outside under a tarp for decades. Engine is seized and looks to be a replacement non-original Triumph Spitfire engine, four speed transmission is in place and the car rolls easily. Wearing Bias Ply Tires on Factory Steel Wheels with non-original hub caps Frame is visibly solid, body does have rust issues at floors, fender bottoms and rocker panels, boot floor is intact with some surface rust but I have restored much worse. Car is now Brown but looks to have originally been British Racing Green. I'm primarily an MGB guy and at this point I'm not interested in restoring this Triumph. Interior has suffered from storage but it's nearly all there. Dash is un-cracked, all gauges and switches are in place, it even has an original Triumph AM Radio which I have seen sell for up to $200. Convertible top frame is in place but one bar is broken, top fabric is shot. If you are searching for a Triumph Spitfire project or parts car, email me to ask questions, request more photos and make an appointment to see this Project while you can. Offered strictly AS-IS with clear NJ Title in hand. You will need to trailer or flat bed this car to your place. I do have a trailer and I will deliver the car within 200 miles for additional cash. Comes with a few loose and spare parts including; used starter, top cover, used ZS carb, extra cylinder head, air filter and intake manifold, new fuel pump, rear bench cushion, 4 tail light lenses, used voltage regulator, original radiator, original jack and tire tools. I do have many more photos which I will send upon request. I could probably make much more money by parting out this Great Project but I would rather it be sold to somebody who can bring it back to life. Opening Bid of $500 is more than reasonable and beyond that there IS NO RESERVE, so bid to win!! I will respond to all questions ASAP and I invite you to come see this car in Leonardo, NJ by appointment.
