1973 Toyota Land Cruiser Additional Info:
1973 FJ40 that needs finished. We took this vehicle in on trade approx 4 years ago. At that time it was a solid Colorado truck that the previous owner had installed new fenders on and started to restore. We took the truck to a local restoration shop to have it completely redonebecauseit was such a solid vehicle to start with. Almost 4 years later and the progress has been slow to say the least so we simply got the truck back and are going to sell it the way it is and move on!
Completely solid rust free CO truck. I believe the previous owner said he put new fenders on it because the fronts were simply to beat up and the rears had been cut. Perfect rust free floor.
Whats been done so far:Body was removed from frame and frame and all suspension components were media blasted to bare metal and painted. Reassembled with new hardware and springs, bushings etc. The body was put on a rotisserie and the entire underside was cleaned and Rhino linedEngine was removed and all new gaskets installed, put back together and painted and detailed. I have no idea if this is the original engine that came in the truck as I'm no expert on FJ's.As far as the mechanical aspects, the previous owner said the truck ran and drove before he started on it, I have never personally heard it run.The truck is sitting on original wheels that were media blasted and painted 2012 Toyota FJ green (same color engine is also). New hubcaps and brand new 31x10.50 BFG all terrainsAll pieces that came off the truck are stored inside to the best of my knowledge (trim etc.) and everything should be there. If you want to know about somethingspecific please ask.
Like I said I'm not an expert on these things so please ask any ?'s you may have prior to bidding. You are more than welcome to come look at it anytime you want or have someone look for you. It is currently stored in my enclosed trailer.
The truck is located in NW Iowa (20 miles N of Sioux City)
