1986 Toyota MR2 Additional Info:

This beautiful and well equipped 1986 Toyota MR2 is ready to move, with a professionally installed 4AGE 20 valve engine with individual throttle bodies. It was a low mileage engine from Japan that was installed around 20k miles ago and runs really nice. The only real issue is that when it is hot it sometimes wants to stall. The car comes with a nice stereo with a small lighweight amp/subwoofer that actually sounds pretty great. When I brought the car from California in 2012 I thought for sure I would remove it, but it sounds good enough that I've kept it.The wheels are very nice 949 Racing 6UL models that weigh around 13lbs each. The brakes are standard although I've changed the master cylinder for a better feel and I'm very happy with the results. There is a short shifter on the 5 speed transmission and it is a dream to shift. The clutch is light and easy to modulate and the steering is sharp and tactile.Really I bought this car in good shape but I've since improved all of the controls with upgrades such as the short shifter, a new steering rack, steering column u joints, brake master, and steering wheel (the original was very bendy and is included in the sale.) I have a lot of receipts for maintenance items including accessory belt, timing belt, spark plugs, water pump and oxygen sensor all from 2024 or later. This car is well taken care of and drives like a rocket. They don't have this kind of driver connection anymore, and this one is even better thanks to the small modifications I've done in my ownership. There is a small dent in the back right corner of the car and a little paint coming off the rear bumper. Let me know if you have any questions, I can help with shipping and would like a deposit at the end of the auction. Reserve at $3500, good luck.
Edit: I have added photos of the engine and trunks, there is no rust in the trunks or really anywhere else on the car.
