1981 Toyota Pickup RN38 Additional Info:

This 81 pickup sits on 35 inch patagonia mt tires. Fox shocks, 5.29 gears with a spartan mechanical locker in the rear. Has rocksliders on both sides, and oem bed mounted roll bar.
Engine was rebuilt with an LCE master kit (all bearings, new con rods, pistons, rings, head gasket. Timing cover, water pump gaskets. Oil pan gasket. Rear main seal. Intake and exhaust gaskets) three years ago. Dui GM style dizzy, weber redline 32/36 carb manual choke with installed pressure regulator. It has an aggressive vacuum line delete, three vacuum lines are all thats left, for brakes, and timing advance. Clutch was replaced when engine was rebuilt.New radiator.Power steering box is new.Cab is insulated. Footwell gets toasty, so solved that.Local company Dash designs cooltex seat covers, and dash cover.Original dash top is damaged, but a replacement dashcap is installed.
Known issues: hard to start when cold, and when its been sitting for awhile. Choke does not close completely, linkage sticks slightly. Pump loses prime. Will start, but cranking takes awhile. Once started it fires on first revolution.Need new motor mounts, have new ones on hand. Needs cab carpet. Have new carpet with mass backing.Needs oil pump gasket. Have a brand new pump w/ gasket.Previous owner cut the dash where the old radio used to be to install a stereo.Bed has some rust holes.Odometer is broken. Tenths work, and the smaller trip meter works.
Included with purchase: spare transmission, transfer case with cross member, all of the emissions equipment, rear axle housing, new oil pump, new harmonic balancer, new engine and transmission mounts, longtube headers, couple other things im forgetting.Everything is functional, and it can pass emissions as is.
