Up for sale is a very rare 1960 FJ25 Land Cruiser project. The FJ25 Is what really launched the Land Cruiser brand across the world and paved the way for the FJ40 series’ several decade success. Very few of these remain today, especially relative to the FJ40.

This particular example is one of the most complete I have ever come across. It still bears its original paint with a beautiful patina that has been preserved with a clear coat. The original engine, transmission, seats, soft top bows and wheels are all there. A NEW factory correct canvas soft top with all the correct hardware has been procured and the original OEM soft top doors sourced as well as enough matching fabric to cover them. Incredibly, a new old stock (NOS) FJ25 stamped windshield was also found a few years back for the truck as well. Anyone that has ever owned an FJ25 knows how incredibly difficult and expensive all these parts are to source. Any serious buyers - if you notice something missing from the photos, I probably have it already for it just message me to confirm.

All of the heavy lifting has already been done. The floors have been repaired to factory specifications, the wiring harness has been professionally refurbished (not installed), and many rare and difficult to source parts have been procured.

What it needs:

• Re-assembly!
• Original F135 Engine spins freely and just needs to be gone through. Everything should be there. I have not run it under my ownership. I have an OEM gasket set I will include if you wish to dig further into the engine
• Clutch and brake master cylinders will need to be sourced, many cruiser shops sell compatible versions new still, or I can include a pair of mid-60s style “tin cup” versions unrestored.
• The transmission needs some love. I dropped it and had been soaking it but never had the time to really go through it. Included with the sale are two spare partial transmissions for any parts the new owner may need.
• Installing wiring harness, new switches
• Installing NOS windshield
• Finishing upholstery on FST doors, and cut new plexiglass.

Basically the truck is complete it just needs reassembly at this point and to go through the mechanical. If you want to build an original 25 without the hassle and cost of years of parts hunting or body work this is the one. Truck is located in Phoenix AZ.
