1972 TOYOTA FJ40 LAND CRUISER CHASSIS AND PARTS
I bought this truck about 15 years ago. If you look at the last 2 pics, you can see how the truck looked while I was driving it weekly. Then, like a complete idiot, I tore it apart because I wanted to build my own 'ICON FJ40' thinking I had all the time in the world. I sold the original tub but I still have random parts like the fenders and other sheet metal items. I then had the chassis strengthened and welded and painted, motor was rebuilt and I installed a brand new suspension on the chassis. This is a rolling and turning chassis. Motor was started and ran before I rolled this chassis into my storage unit 5 years ago. Today, I rolled her out for the first time in 5 years and took pictures to sell it. This rebuilt chassis has been inside all its life.
Here are some details:
- Welded and painted chassis
- Toyota 1F Motor 3.9L I6
- 3 Speed Trans
- Steering box
- Brand New Old Man Emu suspension (leafsprings and shocks)
- Wheels and tires
This is the perfect setup if your current project has a rotten chassis or you want to start from scratch. My plan was to buy the aluminum body from Aqualu Industries. In fact, I had ordered the half doors from them and selling those too.
Make me an offer. I should have the title for this FJ.
