1989 FJ62 Land Cruiser. Came from Santa Fe, NM and spent most of her life in the desert and in an enclosed garage. If you are looking for an EXCELLENT truck that can be driven cross country RIGHT NOW - this is your truck. If you want a LS swap truck - this is also your truck and then it would be worth $50K+. All that is needed is the engine swap - everything else has been done. Personally I would leave as is - its that nice!

I completely stripped the carpet and upholstery out of her and installed Dynamat material throughout the entire floor board. This makes a real difference in heat reduction and road noise. I bought brand new upholstery from Spectrum Off Road and installed over reconditioned seat frames and brand new front seat cushions. Absolutely NO RUST was found in the cab or body during this restoration. The desert keeps the humidity from destroying the steel. It really helped that the prior owner kept the truck in the garage.
I added a few modern accessories:
1. Brand new IRON MAN suspension, shocks and steering stabilizer with a 2" lift (LCS of Austin performed work)2. Brand new Goodyear Wrangler 31" All Terrain Tires3. Brand new Sony Double Din Stereo with touch screen, Apple Play4. Kenwood Backup Camera (integrated with the Sony head unit)5. Kicker sub woofer hidden under front passenger seat.6. The truck came with dealer installed cruise control (they did not come from Japan with factory with cruise control) but it currently does not operate. I had the guys at Land Cruiser Specialists take a look at it and they advised not to try and fix it - its too old. LCS also installed the Iron Man suspension on the truck. The AC blows ice cold and everything works! This truck can even cruise at 80! All door windows work and the master window switch is brand new.
I can't describe the difference in this truck compared to others I've owned that are exposed to the humidity and the elements. The key for the door locks are smooth as silk. Only one door lock sticks but I will try and fix this before selling. The desert is very kind to these old trucks. I have painted a few panels in the rear but the rest of the panels are original. If someone wants the truck painted, I can negotiate for that service.
I might consider a trade for a muscle car, C6-C7 Corvette, convertible, etc. No bikes - I'm not a bike guy.
I've restored 5 of these trucks and this one is BY FAR, the nicest truck I've done. It helps to have an excellent, rust free starting point. For those of you that have owned a FJ60 or 62, you know the rust areas - this truck doesn't have it!
