This super rare low mile survivor has been a desert car all its life and is in immaculate condition for its age. Both cosmetically and mechanically, this car will impress. The car runs very well. Rides smooth and catches eyes wherever I go. This is the first front wheel drive Toyota to hit the USA. It was bought in Denver, Colorado 6/19/1980 with 10 recorded miles and has lived here all its life. As you will see in the pics I still have the original owners guide, manual, car jack and tools that came with the car.
This thing is loaded with original goodies! I sought this car for a long time and was able to purchase it and fix the few things that needed done. The car has always run well mechanically and has shockingly low milage. In short here's what I have done to the car, I kept everything original as much as possible on this car. That entailed some serious time and work. From ordering parts from Japan to searching junkyards in South Carolina. But at this point it's done and I hope to find an owner who can appreciate that. The damage that the car has includes a dent in the passenger side front quarter panel. This never bothered me and I didn't attempt a fix. Other than that the interior has a tape deck that doesn't work but the radio AM radio work great. I would say the interior is in amazing shape but there is some minor wear. No leaks or knows issues at this time. The engine compartment is also stunning for the age fo the car. Passed emissions here in Denver (I have paperwork). The guy doing the test was blown away. His exact words were " This is a new engine!!!!" This thing is a dream.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. Im happy to take more pics and videos for serious inquiries, don'thesitate to contact me. If you are interested act fast. You may never have another chance to buy this car. I know of one in 2013 that was put up for sale and Toyota Japan bought it to return to the Toyota museum.
