1992 Toyota Pickup Additional Info:

1992 Toyota ExtCab 4x4 3VZE 5-speed manual pickup, OEM rims, maroon with grey cloth, manual windows, tilt wheel, no radio, originally a Southern California truck, moved it to Maine in 2016. Needed extensive work at that time and everything was done. Used mostly as a 2nd vehicle, NEVER used in snow and salt so it is rust free on body and frame. All running gear runs perfectly EXCEPT.....the motor was removed as it had a serious hesitation issue that no one could find solution to and generally needed looking over for leaks etc. It looks from the engine number and paperwork that it was replaced at 120K- 150K (my guess). Compression at time of removal was 160 - 175 psi, leak down at 80psi showed only 4-5%. Previous owners had made some funky wiring modifications and generally did shoddy work elsewhere in the engine bay, which was evident once motor all the way out. Motor stripped to short-block, cleaned up, heads inspected and looked great, complete new gaskets and seals (YotaShop) and other parts replaced as necessary, corroded fasteners replaced and copper anti-seize on exhaust system. New timing belt, water pump and idler pulleys, knock-sensor wire harness, injectors cleaned and checked (OK), new crankshaft dampener, repaired crimp in No.2 fuel line, and more. New steering gear installed also. Here's the issue now, and why motor is out of truck: motor was installed and turned over on starter without ignition to check oil pressure, and there was none. Checked sender and guage (OK). Put mechanical oil pressure gauge on and no pressure. Removed motor, removed pan, baffle, pickup tube and oil pump. Oil pump was clear (met FSM specs when pulled off 1st time),relief valve free, replaced o-ring from pump to block (this may have been the issue because o-ring was an odd fit, but logic is still out on that). Replaced all and ran motor on stand with the starter and got oil pressure, but now 80psi at start rpm.....then new front crank seal blew. Time has run out and I'm cutting my losses on this old girl. Happy to answer questions---auction is for the truck and complete motor and accessories. I will not be putting the motor back in, so please keep that in mind. Short block with core is around $3500 if one were to just make an exchange.
