Here is a very special find……a California original, One Owner, 100% rust free, 1986 Toyota 4Runner 4×4 with the highly desirable 22R-E. This California survivor was purchased new at Joe Redfords Toyota in Santa Barbara California and has remained in the Golden State since new. This (removable top) 4 Runner drives and accelerates extremely well! It has a substantial amount of power. The bullet proof 22R-E 2.4 liter pulls like a train. The engine idles perfectly and runs clean and smooth. The engine sounds just as good as it looks. It does not leak, smoke, or make any unusual noises. The automatic transmission shifts on time through all the gears.

The 4 Runner feels solid and tight and does everything it is supposed to do. The 4×4 engages properly. This 4×4 is fun and truly a pleasure to drive!

-The engine compartment is very clean and well sorted (good hoses belts, etc)

-Brakes, steering and suspension are in great shape!

-All mechanical, electrical and climate control systems are all in proper working order

-Ice cold air conditioning/heat warms quickly

-All gauges show normal and accurate readings

The exterior finish appears to be the original factory finish and is very attractive. Factory decals still in tact throughout. The unit has such a lovely original patina!
