1988 Toyota Hilux SR5 Additional Info:

Description for Toyota Hilux 1988Regretfully the time has come to sell my beloved Toyota truck. This is truly a vehicle I had intended to keep forever, but things change and now its time to pass it on to the next owner. It has been a great vehicle, like every Toyota I've ever owned. It is mechanically sound with no known issues. I bought the truck in 2012 from the original owner who was meticulous about maintenance.
This truck has been a labor of love over the years and lots of small things have been done to make it an excellent daily driver and off road truck. Below are some of the highlights, although I'm sure things are missing.
Lots of parts have been replaced with original Toyota parts as preventative maintenance. Timing chain and guides were replaced recently
Virtually no frame rust.Interior carpet is new and the cab has been coated and sound deadened.Equipped with A/C, converted to R134a, and blows cold. Both differentials swapped with Toyota parts containing 4.88 gears. Trail Gear bumpers, Roof Rack, Snorkel, 9500lb Winch, LED Lights all around, Momo steering wheel, Center console with 2x cup holders and extra storage. Brackets custom built. Rare 4WD gauge pod, Custom wood rear storage shelf fabricated out of birch and aluminum.Heated seats, Alpine speakers, JVC integrated sub, and Sony head unit.Fairly new 33" Hankook tires, Interior is in excellent condition given its age. Softopper Bed Cover, Custom bed drawer system, Lots of service records, Original tool roll, jack, tools, and owners manual. Also comes with factory service book.
Everything works as it should
Things that need attention:Bed is fairly rusty and has areas that have rusted through. This has been mitigated over the years with bondo, fiberglass, and paint, but its not theprettiest. Still functionally solid though. Cab has some spots as well.Exhaust needs a new gasket where it mates up to the header.Paint is original, but has been touched up with various versions of Toyota white over the years and is not all uniform. Lots of scrapes and scratches. Some minor dents and dings. Fenders were installed at one point, then removed and the holes filled. They're rusty where the holes were.
That's all I can think of. Please, if you see something or have questions about anything dont hesitate to contact me. I love this truck and am happy to tell you all about it.
