This 1969 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser is the perfect mix of vintage and new. After all, this classic 4x4 has a timeless look, but it also has been given terrific upgrades, like A/C, an overdrive transmission, and a fuel-injected V8 heart. One look at this 4x4 and you just want to go on an expedition. After all, the Dune Beige paint looks like a safari hat. And the white roof with white grille give this a subtle... two-tone. These FJ40s have a tough-as-nails look with the upright steel body. But as you dig deeper into this one, you also see some upgrades to make it even more versatile. The LED rear lights and headlights help keep the trail lit. It has an Ironman lift for added ground clearance. Plus, you'll also notice the proper trailer hitch and full-size spare on a custom swing-away mount. It's all part of a package that keeps the vintage style while adding extra usefulness. The first things that you notice when you open the door are the great classic Land Cruiser pieces. The bench seat up front with individual driver's bucket, the durable rubber floor mats, and the set of side-mounted jump seats in the rear. It's all part of the classic robust setup. And of course, you can take the hardtop off any time you want for a true open-air 4x4 experience. But as you slip behind the classic grippy steering wheel you start to notice some well-integrated upgrades. The classic-style AutoMeter gauges are crisp, the Lokar shifter feels nice in your right hand, and there's even a hidden input to plug your iPod into a stereo system. And you also now have the addition of R134a air conditioning. Under the hood is a terrific upgrade to a 350 cubic-inch V8. We love these Toyotas for their near indestructible reputation, and the Chevy small block unit shares that kind of status. It's a professionally installed Vortec crate motor the includes a roller cam and Edelbrock fuel-injection. So this offers a real upgrade of extra power and torque. And the four-speed automatic transmission gives you good ratios and overdrive. Add in power steering, front disc brakes, and the deep grooves of the BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires, and this enhanced Land Cruiser really knows how to live up to its go-anywhere name. This is the FJ with serious extra power and poise. So for those who want their classic 4x4 lifestyle to get elevated, call today!!!
