Here is your chance to own a rare piece of Toyota history. The hard to find Toyota Trekker....The forefather of the 4Runner
The Trekker wasa joint effort by Toyota and Winnebago from 1981 to 1983. The Trekker laid the foundation for the next generation 4Runner. There was only around 1500 put into population and it's said there'sonly around 500 left in running condition.
This is one of the nicest driver Trekker you will probably find. It was purchased form the original family in the state of Washington back in early 2017. The little SUV was garage keptfor most of it's 37 year on this earth. It wasn't driven much in the 37 years becausethere is only 112,700 original miles on the clock and the condition shows the low miles.
The Trekker is very clean but not100% perfect. On a 1 to 10 scale"1" being a rusted no running needing total restore field findto a "10" being a total restored show winner,I would put it at a "7". (I've been told Iam probably down playing a bit on that scaling)
There has been a lot done to this little truck in the past 2 years.
Here is some of the options and what has been done and what needs to be addressed.

Both rear tail gate shuts are blown out needs replacing

Dome lamp inop (needs bulb)
Carpeting is missing from back of rear seat fold over flap (see photos)
Front tires rub finders a little when in full locking turn (needs a small shackle lift to resolve)

Forgot to mention....the rear seat hinge is very very stiff do to not being used (I unbolted it to fold out for pictures) and the horn works but has a dead spot.

For those who don't know what a Trekker is here is a quick run down. The Trekker was a concept SUV build between Toyota and Winnebago. Toyota dropped the Land-cruiser and wanted to compete in the small SUV market. They stater with a Toyota 4WD Hilux truck with the SR5 package. Then the little pickup was outfitted with a rear fiberglass body and rear seat that can be made into a bed. There was only 1500 produce between 1981 to 1983. This laid the foundation for the new body style 4Runner.
