1979 Toyota Land Cruiser HJ45 Additional Info:
*No Reserve* (Could have by Christmas)1979 HJ45 Toyota Land Cruiser Troopy RHD with Pop-top12ht Turbo Diesel with 5 speed transmission. This is the ultimate overland rig. The Troopy has a the rare pop-top.My wife and I lived full time in this rig for over a year. See our Instagram @troopy_livingThe Land Cruiser was rebuilt to be used off road (and not for show) 2 years ago. The interior and exterior was painted with Raptor Liner so no worries about scratches or "trail pin striping".All the suspension was replaced and upgraded, and disc brakes where installed on front and back.Swapped out the original H diesel engine to the 12ht Turbo and 5 speed transmission. In the engine I installed an EGR to better montior engine while driving. Actual mileage is not known but is about 150,000 miles
We customized the interior by putting Bespoke seats in the cab and built out the rear as a camper with sink, 5 gallon fresh water tank, refrigerator, cabinets and bench seat that opens up as second bed. The primary sleeping area is in the pop-top.We also installed an Espar airtronics diesel heater for cold nights. The "house" has 2 deep cycle batteries that charge by the alternator as well as 200 watts of solar.Custom made roof rack holds 300lbs and slides backwards to make an awning off the back as well as gives space for pop-top to raise. We have driven cross country 3 times in 2 years and she is ready to go again. 'She is not a 90mph machine. While driving is very comfortable on the road, she is made for being offroad and can go about anywhere. The Troopy is not perfect, but solid. There is some surface rust and paint chips which I have tried to show in pics. The bad:Rear parking break needs to be installed (i use a break line lock for parking). The vaccum pump is starting to let oil leak past diaphragm when engine is cold, but works fine. The left front running light has a loose wire I have been too lazy to fix.The left side cargo door bottom hinge is broken. Door still opens and close and locks with no problem. The pop-top canvas has a few hole rubbed through by the latches. We have temporary "patches" but has never been a problem in the rainThe screens on the pop-top windows: one is removed; all should be replaced. They function but are at the end of their life span. The odometer is broken and only the 1/10 spins.
I know there are things I am forgetting. Ask questions.
*I maybe able deliver/drive to you for $2.50 per mile*
