1986 Toyota 4Runner DLX Additional Info:
Selling my very well kept first generation Toyota 4Runner. I purchased it from the original family that owned it about a year and a half ago. It was garage kept, and well loved since day one. The gentleman that owned it prior had bought it brand new, and used it to do a Little Rock hunting here and there. He got to old to drive it, and gave it to his grandson, I purchased it from him, he didn't have it long. I still keep it parked in a garage as well.
The truck is in excellent shape to say the least, is in stock condition, and 100% unmodified. Unmolested beauties like this one in a great color combo are far and few between these days. It is also well equipped considering it is a DLX model not an SR5. It has full carpeting (including door kick panels), bucket seats with center console, am/fm stereo radio with tape player (works well), tilt steering wheel, intermittent wipers front, rear wiper, working factory air conditioning, SR5 alloy wheels, SR5 sticker stripe package, and Toyota branded oem carpeted floor mats that are still in place since new. So, as you can tell, it has all the right options, at least in my opinion anyway. Mechanically it has the coveted 22RE engine backed by a 5 speed manual transmission, with manual locking hubs.
The 4runner runs and drives exactly as it should. It starts, stops, and runs great. The front brakes are new, oil change is recent, tune up is fresh. Battery, clutch hydraulic system, and front shocks are all under a year old. It is mechanically sound in every way, and I would not hesitate to drive it absolutely anywhere today. Goodyear Wrangler all terrain tires are also brand new (literally), and I had the wheels blasted and powder coated a very nice gun metal gray tone which matches the lower color of the side stripes. No shimmys or shakes from out of balance tires or warped rotors. Paint was done when I purchased it, there was NO rust on it anywhere (frame or body), it has always been a California vehicle. Any dents and dings that were fixed were very minor in nature, all original body panels are in place. It was repainted due to some fading in areas on the hood, and top. I opted to not paint the fiberglass top, and I think it looks fantastic because it contrasts the body paint as it should. The paint is excellent over all, and the stripes look fabulous as well. There are a few very minor rock chips on the lower front valance, a couple very small dings on the body, and there are three rock chips on the front windshield (still retains all original glass including front). I can't see replacing the windshield since none of the rock chips have turned into cracks as of yet. Body wise, those are just about the only minor blemishes that are there. The interior over all is excellent, smells good, and has never been smoked in. When you drive this 4runner, you are going to get more attention then driving a bright red Ferrari, trust me when I tell you this. My better half was in shock when on 4 different occasions in one day I was approached by people. Even by a bicyclist at an intersection to tell me how much they loved this 4runner.
All in all, it's a very cool 4runner that will deliver a lifetime of enjoyment if you choose to take care of it like it has been. It's low mileage, looks great, and I doubt you'll be disappointed by the condition of it. It's turn key and drive just like you see it, with all the little factory gizmos in place still like the mud flaps, wheel center caps etc. Its a truely remarkable little machine. Clean clear title in hand. I prefer cash in hand upon you picking up, but I'll settle for a cashiers check, or wire transfer to the account of my choosing if you are having it shipped rather then driving it to where you live. I will cooperate with your shipper, but buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. I will release title, and vehicle once funds have cleared. Please pay the PayPal deposit immediately upon close of auction, and the balance in full within 3 business days. I am easy to deal with, you be as well. Lastly, if you do not have the means to pay for it immediately after the close of auction then please do not bid. I do not want to have to relist it again once the auction is over, serious buyers only please! Email through the eBay system with questions, I'll answer as soon as I possibly can of course. Send a phone number if you'd like a call. Thank you, and best of luck on winning this fabulous machine!
