1989 Toyota SR5 Extra Cab 4x4 V6 Additional Info:
Please read entire description. This will be the 3rd time in 4 days re-listing due to a buyer making an offer that I accepted and not following through. Please read entire description and be sure you want this truck BEFORE sending me an offer. There is plenty of interest, but I've had 2 consecutive "buyers" back out within 2 days of one another. Email me first with questions or about making pickup arrangements. Buyer is responsible for pickup. Just email me and we can easily make arrangements for you to haul it off.
1989 Toyota 4x4 V6 SR-5 X-TRA cab truck not running, for parts, project sells as is. Clear title.
Before I describe the truck and it's positives and negatives, please understand it sells "as is". I know that even in its present condition, it has value and has desirable parts. With that in mind, your buying it "as is", as it sits, with that understanding. And this is local pickup only. Thx
The bad. A "cylinder leakage test" or "leak down" test shows that the head gaskets are blown. I've priced quality engine gasket set for bout $170 and a timing set with pulleys, water pump, and thermostat for $270. The front end of motor has already begun to be disassembled. The radiator and air box are out and got it ready to start pulling theengine downonce I had the parts that I needed. I haven't pulled intake, valve covers, heads etc. Fluids and such add bout $50. It needs rear axle brakes, bearings, and seals bout $150. It also needs brakes all around. And the worst is that from the rear axle back, the frame is rusted. See photos. That is the major issues. It does not have a battery. But it was started last year to be moved slightly. But I am selling it as it sits and not going to the trouble of getting it running again. The ignition was replaced so the key does not match the doors. It has a few small interior issues, window latches. No rips. Nothing major. One slight dent scrape on passenger side bottom.
The good. The body is straight, tight, and basically rust free! The bed is super nice and has NO RUST. It had the V6 motor showing only 184,000 or so. It is an automatic transmission. It also has a factory moon roof and loaded options and the interior is pretty decent and stock. The bed is very nice and with a liner. It has original stock wheels and the truck is basically stock in original condition. The truck does NOT come with wheels in the one photo. As you can see, it comes with extra parts. The front of motor was started being disassembled for the gasket replacement. The truck looks good sitting and the body, motor, and wheels alone are worth my asking price. This is the SR-5 model. It also has a clear title.
Your buying this truck as it sits. You come and haul it off. Tires are aired up, one is low, but it's ready to go. I know there are plenty folks out there that would love to use this truck.
Email with questions. Thanks!
