I am a private seller. Not a dealer. Please do not ask me about financing, this is a cash/legit money order/cashier check deal only. No Games.
My 1992 Toyota 4x4 Pickup is up for sale.
I call her Ruby. She has 229377 miles on her. And she's ready for more.
I have had this truck ten years. I bought in her 2008 from a teacher friend who had owned her for fourteen years. The truck had been garage during her years with the teacher. However, the past ten years of parked in the driveway in the hot Sacramento sun has not been good to her paint. She has oxidizing on both the hood and roof.
She has fairly new tires, meaning, probably less than a 1000 miles have been driven on them. Since purchased.
I have maybe driven her about 12,000 miles in the past tens years. She has taking me camping many times, she has been the forever reliable truck for me.
Even with other cars and trucks bought and sold, she still remains my favorite.
But in the past two years she has spent the majority of her time parked. Since I have been working from home and work with dogs, I used our other vehicles more often. (more room) Ruby is too small for three dogs plus guests.
I have kept her oil changed and her tuned up, and she has never really been driven very often, she was my dream truck. I had hoped to fix her up one day. But a mom's dream is always last.
In February of 2017, her smog came due. It would be possible she may have passed. However, having a husband with no mechanical instincts and his priorities first, she sat. ( driven occasionally) She is registered, just not smogged. The beginning of this year 2018, I personally began what should have been done the year before, oil changed, a real good tune-up. However, I was told by the mechanic that she my have trouble passing due to the old gas build up in her lines.
Well he was right, she failed smog. She runs amazing, better than I could have imagined, but she still failed smog.
She pass every aspect, except the ERG functional. She measured 700 where only 623 was allowed. When I looked up how to fix it, it didn't seem bad. So I prepared to have her fixed. (the ERG valve sits right on top, can see it in the photo)
Sadly some family related issues had superseded my ability to still NOT get my Ruby fixed. I'm literally am stuck, I can't get her fixed even with how cheap it is. My husband f--k up and I'm the one paying. I really wish I was making this crap up. If I did have the money to fix her though, I would charge a whole lot more. Not a whole lot of these truck running our there. Anyway.
The reason I have have chosen to sell her is because I will not have the time or money to get her to where she needs to be. And I need something that can fit all my dogs and guests.
If you need more information about my truck...ask.
This truck runs great. She is a little gem. I should have sold her when offered randomly.
I can send video of her running if you'd like, there is not problem with that.
BTW, As of right now, she is registered and insured. Just needs smog for tags.
Also, the part she needs is about $140 dollars. Other than that, this truck runs GREAT!!
I have the paperwork, the title and registration.
