Up for sale is a beautiful rust free 1972 FJ40. These are getting hard to find in this condition and were recently named one of the fastest appreciating classic vehicles. This FJ was previously a California car and since I have owned it in Georgia it has been in a climate controlled garage. I have a clean Georgia title and the vehicle is located just south of Atlanta. Unfortunately, medical bills are forcing me to sell it. Now is the chance for someone else to own an excellent FJ.
The power plant is a Chevrolet 350 TBI backed with a Turbo 350 transmission with a B&M shifter and mild shift kit installed. The FJ has approximately 7,500 miles on it since the rebuild and approximately 3,000 miles on it since being painted. The transmission is mated to a stock FJ transfer case. The vehicle has power disk brakes on all four corners and rides atop an Old Man Emu suspension lift. The tires are 35x12.50 all terrains. This FJ has had the Saginaw power steering mod and is equipped with a Chevrolet tilt column as well. The stock speedometer does not work, but the vehicle is equipped with a heads up speedometer that works off of GPS and projects the speed on the windshield. This is an excellent feature because no matter what gear ratio or tire size you run, the speedometer remains accurate. The vehicle also has a set of comfortable adjustable seats, CD player, Cobra CB, a heavy duty Ramsey winch, tow hooks, powder coated roll bar and much more. The floor pans and roof have been epoxy coated; if you get the inside muddy, just hose it out. As far as I know, the only thing it is missing is the chrome handle on the exterior of the lift gate. I have a brand new one that I will include with the purchase. It is almost the time of year to remove the top and go cruising, so don’t let this one get away.
I have this vehicle for sale locally and on other sites. I reserve the right to sell the vehicle or pull the listing at any time whether there are bids or not. Please feel free to ask any and all questions you have before bidding. I did not rebuild the FJ, but I will answer all questions to the best of my ability. Serious buyers are welcome to come view the vehicle before bidding. Buyer is responsible for paying $1000 via Paypal within 24 hours as a non-refundable deposit. The balance is due within 5 business days via cashier’s check. Once the cashier’s check clears my account, the title will be released. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick up or all shipping costs. I will make the vehicle available for the buyers shipping company to pick up within reasonable requests.
