This is a 1979 FJ40 Toyota Landcruiser that has been converted into a FJ45. The chassis and frame have been stretched 2' into a 109" wheelbase with a removable hardtop. The motor is an all Aluminum 5.3L L33 Vortec mated to an Automatic 4L60E with External Cooler and Sidewinder shifter. The Transfer case is an FJ60 Splitcase. The Front differential is a stock FJ40 open differential. It has disc brakes with 4:10 gears. The rear differential is a stock FJ40 Richmond Locker with 4:10 gears and drum brakes. It is a Driveline Tech driveline. The fuel cell is aluminum and 14 gallons. The exhaust is 2 3/8" aluminium 2 into 1 Flowmaster. The interior of the cab and bed have both been Rhino lined, there is no rust and everything is coated. A 4 point roll cage via flexible bushings was added for safety along with high back Corbeau seats and 5 point harnesses. Heating and Air conditioning was upgraded with Vintage air. The steering is Power assist with Tilt column and Grant steering wheel. The 33x12.50 BFG Mud Terrain T/A's sit on 15"x8" Pro Comps. A 3" Old Man Emu lift was added along with Custom front bumper with winch bay and Rear bumper with Full size spare carrier in the bed. The rear jump seat brackets are still available and accessible if you wanted to put them back. The rear tailgate and window fold up. The paint is Carbon Gray Steel mist with period correct Toyota white paint on the top. HID lights guide the way. A Pioneer Double Din stereo has been installed but not hooked up. Autometer gauges and interior LED lighting along with a kill switch and power source sit complete the interior electronics. There is not a neutral safety switch, so a kill switch was added on the dash for safety purposes. All of the glass, seals, hinges, regulators and mirrors are new. This was the project of a customer of ours who builds Cruisers. This is his 6th and last build. The rig itself is stunning, the paint, condition of the exterior, interior and undercarriage are immaculate. There is very little sign of any where and tear, dirt or anything that would imply it has been driven other than only when the sun was out. Most of the exterior and interior components are new, anything used was reconditioned, sanded and painted. It sounds and drives like a Beast, there are not many Landcruisers you can take to PIR for the 1/8 mile and hold your own. The only incomplete component are the electronics to the stereo, it was installed but not wired to an amp or speakers. Super nice build, super nice truck and it does not hurt, in our opinion that it is a 1 of a kind Cruiser. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
