1988 Toyota 4x4 Cargo Van Additional Info:
For your consideration, my 1988 Toyota 4x4 Cargo Van.
I have owned it for just over 3 years. Clean Carfax, check it out.. It spent virtually all it's life in Arizona. The metal is solid. In the time I have owned it, I have invested in what can be considered a 'sympathetic restoration'.
I have stored it during the Illinois winters that I have owned it. It is my daily-driver the other 8-months of the year. I have put a little more than 12,000 miles it and I trust I can drive it anywhere.
As soon as I bought it I had it painted GM Artic White Pearl with Silver Roof and Accents. The pictures don't go it justice, in sunlight this thing POPs!!! The panels and doors are remarkably straight. In one picture, I point to the only (very, very small) bit of surface rust I can find just under the windshield flashing. On the underside, the frame rails and sheet metal are solid.
The list of new parts is long, the most important being...(new) brakes, clutch, tires, belts, hoses, distributor cap and spark plugs/wires. All the instruments, lights and electrical work and the A/C still blows cold!
I haven't touched the interior. It is clean but the dash has a couple cracks and the driver's seat needs re-upholstery. The carpet looks to be original. The previous owner put in the upholstery on the walls and ceiling, although there is no headliner in the cab. I have a lot of extra parts that I have accumulated that will go with the Van.
While have enjoyed every minute of owning it, with winter coming I have too many vehicles for my shop storage space. As with many 'Projects' the price that I am offering to Sell it for is a fraction of what I have invested it. The odometer showed about 137,300 when I bought it, now it shows 149,721. As I drive it daily, there will be a few more miles on it until someone buys it..
With LOW MILES for it's age, your value proposition is SOLID. While it's not perfect, for what it is, it is EXCEPTIONAL!
The RAREST of opportunities...don't pass it up!
