1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 For sale.

This Toyota spent all its life in a dry warmer weather where trucks are prone to rust less and much lower mileage than American trucks.
This truck was totally restored 2 years ago, although the condition before the restoration was pretty clean(see pics), with original parts, and a good mechanical the truck had some body imperfections and a frame off restoration was ordered for this truck.
Since the restoration I had put around 10K kilometers on it.
I built his truck to be a reliable vehicle on the top of the driver scale. This truck was a very solid rust free start, with stock components. 1979-84 years are the desired FJ40 family trucks. This one being a Beige Fj43 is even rarer than the others. The body is slightly larger and it gives a better stance and a softer ride than the fj40. The 2F engine, transmission and differentials are the same in fj40 and fj43.
This particular truck features power steering, 4.10 gears, 4 speed transmission, and very desirable soft top. After 1979, Toyota trucks had better and prettier doors and overall better design, they also appreciate in value the best. I have owned this truck since 2012, since then is being driven it often but never hardcore offroad. The next owner can take it up to a gravel road, 4X4, or city driver. It was built as a museum piece 2 years ago, but now it has light normal wear from being driven and used.
The 2F engines along with the 3F engine are the best Toyota Gasoline engines. This truck is very reliable and strong.
BODY
This truck is completely rust free. All the panels are clean and true steel. There are no funny Aluminum pieces on this truck, the 40’s series are notorious for rust, it was very clean truck to start with before the frame off restoration (finished 2 years ago)
The body is true and straight with no hidden rust, or the common ugly black gravel lining paint underneath of the car to cover rust. The front floors panels were replaced, the bottom of the doors were also welded with metal. Every single rust was fixed. The truck was stripped complete to bare metal, then sealed and epoxy primered, finished with a single stage paint as it came originally from factory.
The paint is beautiful and shinny, It has 1 small scratches that happened during transportation and a little color discoloration in the passenger apron. This truck looks much better in person than in the pics. New door seals, inner door panels, mats are in perfect shape. Seats had been upholstered to original specifications.
The interior is very clean and in excellent shape, everything works as it should. It has a larger jump seats, 6 people can fit comfortable in this truck. Tools, owner’s manual, manual, lamp, and jack are included. The original TEN radio is installed but not functional (it is AM only anyways), I rather roll down the windows, roll up the soft top and enjoy the air cruising in this truck.
No heater on this truck, it came like this from factory but one can be easily sourced and installed if needed for colder States. I live in Vancouver but I do not drive this in winter.
The Soft top is new, there are no leaks inside when it is raining. I can also source a hard top if you want to go that route.
Mechanicals
This Fj43 has a stock Toyota inline 2F motor with excellent compression (125 120 125 125 120 125 psi) that burns clean. The engine was resealed to avoid oil leaks, new starter, new carburetor, new spark plugs, new wires, new belts, new exhaust all the way front the front to the back(galvanized, will not rust) . all the suspension was re-fresh with new front leaf springs, new bushings, new heavy duty Gabriel shocks, ball joints, steering stabilizer and tie rods. This engine is ready to rock again for many miles to come.
I recently changed all filters and oil. The clutch and press were changed for new ones during the restoration. The clutch, 4 speed trans and case all operate perfectly. The brakes are in good shape with new pads and also the rear drums were overhauled with new shoes.
Original 16 in wheels with brand new tires including the matching spare tire. There are no aftermarket installations, therefore no splits on the electrical harness or electrical headaches.
There are no known issues with this truck, this is the type of Toyota you want to buy, honest, rust free and mecanical stock original. This truck is a joy to drive and will provide years of trouble free service with proper care and maintenance, but please expect to tinker like any other vintage vehicle from time to time. There is nothing pending to do on this truck at this moment.
This truck is registered in Vancouver BC. I will give you a registration and a bill of sale. It is sold “as is” no warranty.

I can assist to ship this truck to Canada, Mexico USA or any other country as long it is legal to be imported.
