1990 Toyota Tacoma Automatic Additional Info:
This 1990 Extended cab Tacoma automatic is 27 years old and is my personal daily driver in a small southern town pop.1600 where I pastor. A Sequoia is our family vehicle. We don't put salt on our roads because we very rarely have snow or ice. If somebody wanted to fully restore one, this is it! I don't believe you will find an original any better than this one. Drive this fully functional classic for years, or till your ready to start restoration work. 4WD works great, tires are great, carpet is great, AC is cold, engine is strong, no rust or dents in body, only a couple dents in tailgate. I believe I am the second owner/driver. Years back when I bought this vehicle used, I was amazed at it's immaculate condition. It had a plastic bed-liner which I took out and painted in a bed-liner over a perfect condition bed. The bed now has some dents inside from hauling firewood and needs to be relined but still has no rust other than a little surface rust where the paint in liner is scuffed off.. The motor was rebuilt at 175K (less than 20k miles ago !! ). A few negatives; since the rebuild it leaks oil, from a gasket or seal which was not installed properly and is a simple fix that didn't get done, also the emergency break is not hooked up where the re-builder did not re-hook it. The head-rest have cracked on bottom and the driver seat has damage right where I get in. There may be some other little things I'm not thinking of, it is 27 years old. Other than that, this truck has been well maintained and looks good!. Recently, I burned out a fuel injector fuse and replaced the fuse, fuel line, pump, pump bracket and ended up running a new fuel pump electric wire, bypassing the wiring harness under the steering column where there was a short in that wire. When I bought it, I put on a chrome valance (because I thought it looked better) and later removed the rear bumper and put on a much stronger custom made tow-bar. This truck has never been mudding, and has only towed a lawn mower trailer a few times and the school band trailer a few times. The Sony radio with cassette player worked great but I unhooked it when I got it because the previous owner had put big speakers in the back seat and I took them out and never reconnected the radio. I took these pictures as is with out even wiping o, dusting or removing contents... I did clean off tires. Original paint with patina and honest wear, used vehicle.
