1986 Toyota MR2 NO Sunroof

1986 Toyota MR2 GT Coupe 2-Door Additional Info:

I bought the car a couple years ago from a repair shop in WI, they said the owner ran it low on oil....it had a rod hanging out of the block when I bought it. It was a single owner car when I got it, the blue color and lack of sunroof made it rare and I had to have it. Chassis has 170 thousand miles on it...engine has maybe 100, haven't changed the oil on it yet.

I pulled the dead engine out and had a spare engine rebuilt over at Apex Automotive, I use Bill for all my engine work.

I re-assembled the engine, along with a real Toyota head gasket, new water pump, new oil pump, new toyota thermostat, rebuilt fuel injectors, new fuel filter...and other stuff I forget.

Clutch is new, flywheel is resurfaced.

While I had the engine at the machine shop...Bill takes his time and I am not in a hurry...I removed and freed up all the rear suspension, so its easy to align.

I also rebuilt all the brake calipers...left rear parking brake was siezed up so got a reman. I replaced one parking brake cable.

Exhaust has a new muffler, cat delete pipe bolted in place of cat, and good a good downpipe replaced the rusty one.

The car is very stock, and the paint is shiney.

I have all the stock under trays they were removed to show its rust less ness.
